Down to visit the Memsahib.
Thursday morning saw me on the 0852 train to Preston to visit my mum, quite an uneventful journey, brightened by a wee boy sat with his mum and dad in front of me. He was exhausted but would not go to sleep, he chatted and played, when i got off they were walking with him to try and get him to sleep.
Had a nice coffee then on the train to St Annes, quite a nice day, mum was waiting for me good to see her she is looking well. She visited her hairdresser then on her return we had lunch a laugh at many . We looked at old photo's during the afternoon had a laugh at some and got rid of a few we didn't recognise. had the delicious Fish & Chips with mushy peas for dinner, to bed early tired.
Friday up quite early, breakfast with mum, then we got ready to go to the bank and get messages before having lunch out. Lovely day warm and sunny, had a walk round the town then over to Ashton Gardens Pavilion to have lunch. As it was so warm had it Al Fresco on the veranda, Mum had poached salmon sandwich, I had prawns with a rose marie sauce in a sandwich delicious. Lovely pot of tea for mum, americano with hot milk for me--then home. Mum had a rest and I caught up with some things.
Mushroom omelette with new tatties and garden peas for dinner. Chatted with mum watched the News and Newsnight then to bed.
Saturday up and about, breakfast, shower then Anne B came in to see us, had a chat. Left for my train which was delayed, however managed to get my train to Edinburgh, sat with a nice young Indian Dr. we put the world to rights!!
Arrived Edinburgh got the bus home, good to see Graham and Ruaridh again. Lovely dinner of monkfish and prawn risotto with salad. Watched Mark Cousins 'The Story of Film--an Odyssey great. Tumbled into bed.
Lazy Sunday!! though Graham made an amazing Tart Tatin:)
Earlier in the week I spent Tuesday with Bella we had a lovely fun day:) Lots to do, we went to the play park rather surprised to see lots of High school kids there at 1100h, when I asked why? they told me it was there morning break!! Anyway Bella had fun on the slide and various other things. Back home we had lunch then, played for a wee while then Bella watched 'Mary, Mungo and Midge before we set off for the library, with a pile of books! At the library I was led through the mystery of doing the returning and borrowing of books by oneself. Got some great books for the wee one.
Back at theirs we had a drink then read some of the lovely new books.
Bella read some herself whilst I made a tomato sauce to go with the pesto and pasta for dinner. Then Bella went over to see her chum, family home, lovely dinner then Graham and moi left for ours.
Wednesday--busy made dough for bread. Girls here for lunch, lovely sunny day. Art class this evening with chum Jane.
