Beachcombing

As we go to the beach most days, due to the heavy rain here in the N/W Scotland at this moment in time, I have started to pick up various things that are washed up on the beach. I have found various pieces of broken crockery, some of which must have been in the ocean quite a time as they are worn down and smooth. When walking on after picking it up, as I touch the different pieces I start to wonder what they had once been, and what were the people like who had owned them. Were the pieces old, were the families rich or poor, how many different hands had held them? the mind could run riot thinking about all the possibilities.
When I returned home I placed some together and it reminded me of the shore where I had found them, sky-sand-sea, took a photograph so people can make up their own mind!
