Great Humour

As Joe was going out to a corporate do this evening Layla and Bella came to us for dinner, we had a great time with Bella jumping on our bed and she loved being rolled over by Grandpa. She has a great sense of humour and makes me laugh so much.
For dinner we had fennel in white sauce with cheese topping and pasta with salad delicious, the fennel was grown by Layla at her allotment and was lovely. Bella enjoyed her pasta and cheese sauce not forgetting her olives.
Last day at work for a few days, up town afterwards to try and once again close a bank account, no joy, far to many people waiting for service, too few people giving it!
Down to the railway station to get Graham's ticket big queue here in advanced booking, No.59 being served when I went in, I was No.78 there are eleven service stations here only four in use and a big notice stating they were closing at 1830h with apologies. Ah well, actually I only had to wait twenty minutes and got a cheapo ticket!
Spoke to mum she appears to have had a lovely time at the hotel and feels much better!
Going to have a cuppa then bed. Goodnight.

Slow strange day!

No reason for the title that is just how today felt, not only to me but also to colleagues and the woman at the checkout at the dreaded supermarket!
Up at 0700h as I have been at work today, sunny crisp morning made for a brisk walk to work then once there the day moved slowly? Everything went OK patients, examiners, nurses, caterers and candidates were all there on time, everyone appeared to be alright but the work day took forever!
Spoke to Layla a couple of times she and Bella had been to Asda supermarket with Megan her neighbour, spoke to Bella and she told me this. Layla is busy making Bella's outfit for the Halloween party on Friday.
Had a good walk home visiting the dreaded supermarket on the way.
Made dinner veggie toad in the hole, mashed tatties, carrots and neeps delicious.
Going to do some knitting and have a cuppa then to bed early, work tomorrow then off until the 11th of November. Bye.

Great day today, up early with Graham had breakfast then a shower and washed my hair, spoke with Layla and said I would be over at theirs as soon as possible. Then Ruaridh and moi got the bag and went to pick some more apples off our neighbour Patricia's apple tree! Lovely sunny morning with a chill in the air, got Ruaridh into the car collected all my bits and bobs then we were offski! First stop the pet store to get Ruaridh's food, then over to see Layla and Bella.
Got there about 1100h sat and had a chat then we went for a walk on the cycle path before going to the park. Ruaridh had a good walk off the lead, and played with a long haired Golden Retriever on the park Bella had a lovely time on the swings, slide and roundabout.
Back to theirs for lunch and Graham came to join us, lovely soup which we all enjoyed.
Bella had a sleep and Layla and moi made the jam, took a wee while to set but once it did it tasted lovely.
Stayed for dinner spinach in cheese sauce and spaghetti lovely. Bella entertained us all she has a great sense of humour!
Back home very tired just finishing this then to bed. Goodnight.

Sad news

Today at work we got the news that a person who used to attend regulary had died. Over the past few years I had got to know them quite well and the world will be a sadder place with their passing. Peace be theirs.
Up early as I had an 0800h start, lovely sunny day with a chill in the air, brisk walk to work. Quite busy but I enjoy being there in the hub of things.
Ruaridh spent the day with Layla and Bella, they went to the beach at Gullane and though it was cold had a lovely time, blipfoto.com/Lonely Little Petunia
Walked home tonight saw neighbour Patricia in Cafe Citron with her friend Anne popped in to say hello!
Made soda bread then got the dough ready for bread. Graham and Ruaridh arrived home had a cuppa. Dinner was already made spaghetti and tomato sauce with salad and bread hmm, ate at around 1900h. Then we got a phone call from a woman who said Graham's mum's bank statment had come wrapped in with her daughter's, found out where she lived then we took Ruaridh for a walk and went to collect it, banks bah!
Waiting for the bread to rise then into the oven. Bye.

Last night we turned the clocks back one hour and got an extra hour in bed, hmmm can't say I noticed any difference this morning as I was up and bopping at 0900h new time as Ruaridh wanted his breakfast and a run in the garden! Suppose it was fun last night to go to bed at 0025h and turn the clock back to 2325h, what the hell it is now officially winter time.
Up had a shower and hairwash, breakfast tasted good fried eggs and rolls as suddenly I was very hungry.
Took Ruaridh a walk in Corstorphine woods had a lovely walk with the wind blowing through my hair managed to miss the rain,

Glasgow in the rain!

Today in the rain, rain, rain we travelled through to Glasgow to visit Graham's mother, Joe, Layla and Miss B also travelled through behind us!
Up quite early disturbed night with the wee dog, Graham thought he heard fireworks at 0200h and this could have upset the dog, hmm I dont know? Anyway early morning cuppa then a shower before making and eating breakfast. Took Ruaridh for a walk to the park and in Ravelston woods, he met a couple of dogs and had a play with them before we got started on the walk. Met Baxter in the woods but no playing there. Picked up the Guardian and some flowers for Betty then off to Glasgow.
The weather was atrocious rain and strong winds all the way there and back. Visit was fine and Betty was pleased to see Bella and how she has grown.
Back home made pizzas for dinner with homemade coleslaw they tasted good.
Watched a joint programme- an interview with Phil Spector and his court case on BBC2 excellent documentary.
Just having a cuppa then to bed. Bye.

Feeding the gulls!

Today I had arranged to meet Layla and Bella down at the shore before going over to theirs to help make the beetroot chutney.
Up earlyish with Graham had breakfast, messed around then when Layla telephoned arranged to meet her around 1115/1130h.
Had a wash got things together then Ruaridh and moi set off to walk along the cycle path, the weather was fine windy but with the sun breaking through. We had a nice walk and arrived at the shore no Layla or Bella, as we arrived my phone rang and it was Layla to say they had been delayed and would be down in 10 minutes. So Ruaridh and moi set off for a walk and it started to rain! saw Layla's car and set off on the grassy hill to meet them, the heavens opened. Bella had her bag of bread to feed the ducks so off we set to walk to Cramond and did it rain, everyone we met was in the same boat soaked through. Bella was cosy in her pram with her new suit on blipfoto.com/A Dog's Dinner and her raincover, Layla, Ruaridh and moi were like drowned rats. When we got to the river estuary no ducks think they had a fright with the wind and rain but lots of gulls, so they got the bread!
Ruaridh as per usual had a great time chasing leaves met one or two dogs but not really interested in playing with them. On the way back the rain stopped and Miss B was able to walk and jump in the puddles, which she really enjoyed.
Back to their house for lunch lovely soup and crackers, then whilst Bella had a wee sleep we did the beetroot chutney.
Graham came over to see Bella and then we left to go to Waitrose, got the messages then home.
Put the messages away then a cuppa. Veggie stew, mashed tatties and broad beans for dinner with some Isle of Skye beer hmm.
Going to do some knitting then a cuppa. Bye.

Jane

Today Ruaridh and moi went to visit an old friend of mine Jane, we have been chums for an age now and it was lovely to go and have a cuppa with her. Around the time we moved up North she and her hubby moved to Andorra so I don't get to see her as much as I would like, so today was good. Ruaridh and moi had a great walk, we left the house and walked down to Inverleith Park here the wee fellow had a great time chasing leaves that were blowing in the wind.
Arrived at the house Jane looked great and loved Ruaridh (she used to have a Border Terrier when I first knew her), he got a biscuit and was delighted. We had a good chat and as per usual attempted to put the world to rights, Jane is going to have myself, Jane R and Cristal for supper in November will look forward to that.
Walked back home through the park where the leaves were blowing like crazy Ruaridh heaven!
Had a big lunch, then made the dough for bread, made soup for dinner, did some knitting. Spoke with Layla they are fine, going over to make the beetroot chutney tomorrow! Made the bread then spoke to mum she is fine looking forward to her wee break at the hotel starting on Monday.
Had corn chowder for dinner followed by a scrambled egg sandwich and a big mug of tea, lovely.
Going to do the dishes then bed. Bye.

Shopping

Today after work arranged to meet Layla and Bella up town to do some shopping, after work I got a lift up in the taxi with Sandra from the College of Physicians. First I had to go to the post office to send a library book back to Kyle library, believe it or not someone else wanted one of the books I had out. I was told it would be OK no-one would want them but when I tried to renew them online one was required by someone else Bah! cost me a fortune. Met up with Layla and Bella went to Nat. West. bank to try and close a bank account no joy as I had no ID! Then to Jenners to buy Miss B her new snow suit, had a laugh as soon as she put it on that was it, she run about and would not take it off. The alarm tag and barcode had to be done with the suit on, oh well one happy bairn! had a coffee at Jenners wee cafe, Bella had apple juice and we all shared a delicious big sweet biscuit.
Left the bairns to go back home, fry up for dinner as I couldn't be bothered with a big meal.
Work today was fine and went by quickly, not working now until next Monday.
Spoke with my chum Lena tonight so hoping to have lunch with her soon.
Had Ruaridh a walk, now to bed.

Home again--

--home again jiggety jig, explains the photograph that accompanies this Blog. Today I was back at work at the WG Hospital Edinburgh, I took a photo of the sunrise on blipfoto.com/BB as I walked to work this morning. Always a shock to the system to have to be out of bed at 0700h but once I have given myself a shake and done the necessary things one does in the morning -shower/wash, breakfast I am ready to face the day.
Work was good nice to meet up with friends old and new, the day flew by.
Soon ready for going home, had to go to the dreaded supermarket but even that was a not too bad experience today! Got my messages and walked home.
Got the meal ready for tonight then Graham and Ruaridh arrived home, cup of tea then I spoke to mum she is fine, going to Tom's funeral which is not until a week this Thursday.
Roasted vegetables and pasta with salad and bread for dinner it was delicious, just a good red wine was missing?
Just going to do the dishes, maybe take the wee dog a walk later. Bye.

Coffee, Hot chocolate at Cramond.

Up early this morning as Graham had an early start at the studio. Tried to go back to bed for an hour or so however Ruaridh decided to put paid to that by jumping up and down on the bed so that I wouldn't go to sleep. Got up had a shower and washed my hair, then had breakfast. Spoke with Layla and said I would meet her and Miss B down at the shore cafe around 1130h. Dog Pasha and moi got all our things together and set off.
Had a lovely walk along the cycle path, in the sunny but very windy weather, Layla and Bella passed me in the car as I walked down to the shore.
Poor wee Bella nearly got blown away when her mummy stood her on the pavement, quickly organised with Bella in the backpack we set off to walk to Cramond. Ruaridh had a great time as due to the high winds the leaves were being whizzed about all over the place and he just loved chasing them, up and down the prom! Arrived at Cramond and as it was now starting to rain decided to sit outside to have a coffee, as we had Ruaridh with us we cannot go into a cafe unlike parts of Europe! The coffee was delicious and Bella enjoyed her shortbread and hot chocolate, as we sat there who should come along but my old chum Grace with her grandson Nicky. Lovely to see her so they joined us for a coffee and chocolate icecream, she was delighted to see Bella and we had a chat!
Layla drove us home had lunch, then did some cleaning.
Made dinner risotto frittata, chips and peas Hmmm! Just going to do some knitting then bed early as I have work tomorrow. Bye.

Blipfoto.com

Since Friday evening blipfoto.com a daily photo journal has not been accessible to its users, this has been due to a problem with the server. Although blipcentral have been contacting the people concerned at this moment in time blipfoto is still down. People with Flickr accounts have been using this too tell one another about the situation. Hopefully by tomorrow the site will be up and running.
Up quite late once again managed to read the Saturday Guardian in my bed with my early morning cuppa! Scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, then out to Corstorphine woods with the Dog Pasha, had a great walk. Ruaridh has changed over the past year and now doesn't appear to run after dogs the way he used to. If he senses a dog wants to play he will, otherwise a wee sniff and away! Weatherwise quite sunny and dry on the way up the hill, drizzle sweeping in from the east on the way back.
Biscuits and tea on return, phoned mum to hear her neighbour Tom had died he was 95years old.
Got quite a lot of knitting done this afternoon, having aduki bean pie with mashed tatties and peas for dinner.
Hoping to watch more of the BBC production of Bleak House tonight, really enjoyed it last night, get hookled on these things! Bye.

Bella Time

Today Joe and Layla were doing a course on foot massage from the Ayurveda system of traditional medicine native to India, and they asked us would we look after Miss B for the day. We were delighted and we have had a lovely time together. First we played in the house, then decided to go for a walk and head for the park. Bella walks a long way now and enjoyed jumping in the puddles in her new boots. We got to the cycle path and Bella said she would go in her pram, she was so chuffed to hold Ruaridh's lead and he behaved really well walking alongside the pram!
We got to the park and the rain started :( however we waited and the rain went off, one of the children from Bella's playgroup was there with his mummy who comes from Japan it was nice to meet her and have a chat. Bella enjoyed Grandpa pushing her on the swing and he pushed the wee boy too.
Back home eggy bread for lunch, then Bella had a sleep for two hours. Ruaridh enjoyed the cycle path and the park and he had a sleep too.
Layla and Joe appeared to have enjoyed their day, it seemed to be an interesting experience. When we were in India in Kerala we had Ayurvedic massage but with the hands not the feet, really enjoyed it though.
Back home Risotto for dinner. Then maybe watching 'Bleak House', or knitting. Bye.
EDIT :-
The server for blipfoto.com is down at present. No Blip at the moment.

Press Ups.

Today had a lovely time down at the shore with Layla and Bella not forgetting the wonder dog Ruaridh. Ruaridh and moi left the house to walk along the cycle path as we were to meet the two girls down on the shore. We had an eventful walk especially when I saw two people doing press ups on the wet grass with a baby crying in the pram behind them? A woman with a golden retreiver told me it was a women who had just had the baby doing them with her personnal trainer! weird or what! Walked on by, along the shore we met up with Layla and Bella what a surprise for Bella and Ruaridh! We all continued the walk and what a super time we had, Bella walked on the wall and Ruaridh was down on the rocks and beach, he met lots of dogs and played with two schnauzers. Went to the shore cafe run by a man and woman from Poland, bought two lattes to take away and a caramel biscuit shared by Bella and Ruaridh, the couple there are really nice and the cafe and lavies are spotless! we will be back.
Drove back to the house in the Figaro grooving along to Crosby, Stills and Nash. Had soup and crackers for lunch and Bella played and chatted.
When they left I made the bread dough then the bread.

Spoke to mum this morning she sounds good.
Very tired going to bed. Bye.

Sounds

Today we had a much more leisurely start to our day, up to have breakfast with Graham before he left for work then took the day at a slower pace! Had a shower and washed my hair, did some emails spoke to Layla then took the Wonder Dog into Corstorphine woods. It was lovely walking in the woods today, sunny but a chill in the air, lots of sunspots around! It is amazing how the sounds of the city can be heard in the distance, but the main sound I heard was the leaves as they fell off the trees quite a crashing sound they make. We didn't meet many dogs well two but Ruaridh was not interested in them. Lots of red, yellow and orange leaves laid on the ground colours are lovely. Walked back past the Art Deco flats they looked amazing in the sun.
Back home started the pruning of the hedges that have become too prolific, managed to get quite a bit done in the council compost bin now ready for collection in the morning. Ruaridh relaxed in the sunshine!
Had lunch, made potato and leek soup for dinner then did some ironing.
Renewed my library books though I'm told one is overdue, have emailed the library at Kyle so we will see.
Had dinner early tonight the soup and tinned salmon sandwiches lovely.
Did some knitting this afternoon going to do more now. Bye.

Dishwasher kaput.

When we arrived back in Edinburgh in August we discovered that our dishwasher was not working, this time down decided to get the person from Bosch in to let us know if they could repair it or not, they could but it would cost more than a new one! So paid the man £69-50p the call out charge and told him we would be getting a new one.
Over to the mobile breast screening unit this morning for my 3 yearly mammography, great service.
Back home got ready to take the wonder dog to Corstorphine woods, we had another great walk, no squirrels but lots of dogs to meet and some to play with.
Back home started to make the apple, blackberry crumble pie for dinner tonight as we are going to the family and this is my contribution! Karen Joe's mum will be there too, it will be good to see her before she goes off to Sri Lanka.
The man from Bosch was here from 1330h-1400h, when he left the pie was ready so I telephoned Layla to see if she wanted me over early she did. Got everything ready and the wonder dog in the car and off we went.
Arrived Bella was asleep, Layla was very busy making allsorts of Indian dishes for dinner which all tasted delicious. Bella awoke and we played and I had a very late lunch.
As I mentioned the dinner was delicious all the dishes tasted fantastic, and Miss B kept us all amused.
Home around 2000h. Goe a phone call from my good friend Mick nice to have a chat with him.
Just had a cup of tea then bed. Goodnight.

Crayons

Looked after Miss B this morning as Layla had to go to work, drove over with Graham who was going to the studio. Bella and moi had a great time, first we made a big jigsaw that Anne in St Annes bought for Bella then we moved over to the drawing and crayoning. The crayons became the focus for our attention as each one had a paper on it, Bella found that she could slide this up and down the crayon this kept us both amused for a long time. Unfortunately on one crayon the paper was stuck, Bella was determined it would move, I ended up braking the crayon much to her amusement.
After this we got ready to take Ruaridh for a walk on the cycle path and to the park. We had a good walk and lots of laughs on the play park, Bella had a great time and we danced and sang 'You can have a fishie, on a little dishie'. Ruaridh was really well behaved.
Back to the house, and we waited for Layla, when she came we had lunch Bella loved her eggie, cheese bread, then she had a sleep.
I played with Ruaridh and a football in the garden, oops hope he didn't burst it!
Chatted with Layla then Graham came and we drove home.
Cauliflower cheese, roast tatties and peas for dinner lovely.
Phoned Liz she sounds fine. Took Ruaridh a walk now a cuppa. Bye.

Dead Squirrel day

Up with Graham this morning as he was away to the studio, had breakfast then he left. I had a leisurely shower and washed my hair before Ruaridh and moi jumped into the car to go to Waitrose to get the messages. Had a good shop then home.
Got the wee fellow ready then we set off to have a long walk in Corstorphine woods, had a lovely walk met quite a few dogs Ruaridh had a wee play but didn't appear to be over enthused. On the way back walking down the path to the road a grey squirrel dropped of the wall and stopped on the path, Ruaridh was on it like a flash and killed it although it did take him a minute or two. When I looked at him his nose and mouth were covered in blood I wiped it off and was pleased to see it wasn't the wee fellow's, gave him a treat.
Back home had lunch then got the dough ready for the bread and the pizzas.
Spoke to Layla she is fine so are Joe and Bella see blipfoto.com/JoeBloggsfor today!
Spoke to mum and Anne, mum got an appoinment at the Dr's and he thinks maybe the excess wax in her ears is causing the trouble. Watch this space! anyway whatever, she appears to be much happier! Made the bread and pizzas.
Had pizzas and coleslaw for dinner which was delicious!
Watching Newsnight on BBC2 attempting to tell us what has happened in the financial arena!! Bye.

Hello

Back in Edinburgh after spending a couple of nights in the Red Rose county with mum. Layla and Miss B came down we travelled by train and had good journeys there annd back, Bella is a wee star and loves travelling.
The stay at mother's was very eventful to say the least, she has been troubled by noise in the night although she is very deaf, over the past month we have advised that it might be something to do with her ears but she thought it was more likely from a neighbours? We never heard a thing although she did!! there was NO outside noise so now a trip to the Dr's is on her agenda!
She had a lovely time with Bella, Layla and moi enjoyed our coffee break with her on Friday, then we trotted off to Primark in Blackpool after I had taken mum home.
Sights in Blackpool have to be seen to be believed, people that is, anyway we had a good shop in the one shop and bought new PJ's for Miss B. There and back on the bus uneventful.
Saturday we had lunch before getting the train home, lovely to see Anne, Jen and Harrison who all thought Bella was the cats PJ's.
Nice sunny day today, it is our Wedding Anniversary 35 years! Spoke to Layla and mum on the phone.
We had a late breakfast then took Ruaridh a long walk in Corstorphine woods.
Prawn and veggie curry for dinner. Bye

Automatic!

Last night after my birthday Layla left her car here and asked me to drive it over today, as I only drive a manuel it was quite an experience for me to drive an automatic, however both Ruaridh and moi enjoyed it immensely, great fun.
Up with Graham this morning and had our breakfast, then as he left for the studio I had a shower and washed my hair and got ready to drive over to see Layla and Bella.
When I arrived the front door was shut so as I thought they were out, I used my mobile to phone Layla, guess what they were in the house waiting for me. We got ready to drive over to the allotment the weather was sunny and warm, when we got there we finished stringing the onions and picked the beetroot to take to mums tomorrow, Layla, Bella and moi are away south to visit her on the train.
After Miss B had watered the lettuce once we left and went back to the house, lunch was lovely soup, crackers and we all enjoyed it.
Ruaridh had a good time at the allotment and then we walked home via the cycle path and Inverleith Park where Ruaridh had a nice time playing with Tilly a golden retriever. Met Graham at the dreaded supermarket got the messages then home.
Lovely butternut squash risotto with salad for dinner.
Going to bed early. Goodnight.
Hi no blog for a few days as I will be south in the Red Rose county.

Fun day!

Today was my Birthday and what a lovely fun day it has been, lovely cards and gifts and a day spent with the family and a telephone call to mum this morning, it doesn't get any better than that. Thanks to all for such a lovely day!
Up to have breakfast with Graham, then spoke to mum and Layla on the telephone. Had a wash then even though it was raining took Ruaridh the Dog Pasha to the park and woods for his morning constitutional.
Soon after I got back Layla and Bella arrived with a lovely card and pressies. Bella is so much fun we had a lovely morning with her, even Ruaridh was in good form. We had lunch then Layla and Bella had a sleep, I did some e-mails, and made some phone calls before they woke.
After they woke there was a knock on the front door, Bella was excited thinking it was Grandpa but no a delivery man stood there with a parcel that I signed for, good job I looked at the name it was not for me! I called the guy back and he said he had picked up the wrong parcel? he then brought this big box inside was a lovely orchid a present from my good friends Heiner and Marion in Germany.
Graham and Joe arrived and we had the Birthday cake and candles Bella helped to blow them out. Sat and had a chat then we had dinner pasta al forno, salad and homemade bread delicious..
Had lots of fun with Bella after dinner as she wanted into the big box, we put her in and then she loved being rocked between her daddy and grandpa, she left a very sleepy wee girl. Bye.

The shore

Got up with Graham today as he was going back to the studio, had breakfast with Ruaridh who looked somewhat lost as Graham was not there. Had a wash, then did the ironing before the wee fellow and moi set out for the shore. On the way to the cycle path bumped into my wee friend Zoe she was just going to a coffee morning, she is always pleased to see Ruaridh as her brother had a Border terrier, equally Ruaridh was pleased to see her.
Onto the cycle path and down to the shore, the tide was out so let the dog off on the beach which was rather dirty, don't think he liked it very much though with the aeroplanes flying quite low overhead. Anyway took one or two stones to the waters edge and he did have a run and jump for them, somewhat lacklustre though!
Set off back home and met a nice old chap on the cycle path with his dog who had spent his honeymoon 46 years ago in Kyle of Lochalsh. Walked on and saw this women with a dog way ahead, caught up with her lo and behold it was an ex colleague Jane, stayed and had a chat with her, no real gossip there.
Home had lunch, then busy cooking made part of the dinner for tomorrow as the family are coming, then the dinner for tonight leek quiche, roast potatoes and peas which tasted quite good.
Miss B is 22 months old today. Wow!
Made a mess of my knitting but phew got it sorted, going to do the dishes. Bye.

Happier dog

Today we had a longer lie, morning cuppa in bed after I had got up to feed the dog and let him out into the garden, also managed to have a read of yesterday's paper-wonders! Got up Layla telephoned Bella not 100% but getting there, they were going to do a big shop! Up and about shower and hairwash then brunch, just as I was about to put my chocolate butter on my roll who should telephone from the Glen but Ute, they were on our beach and the sun was shining, good to hear from them.
After breakfast set off with Ruaridh for Corstorphine Woods this is a lovely area not far from the house and the wee fellow was a much happier wee dog , though he did have a run in with a labrador as well! The weather was amazing cold but lovely sunshine beaming down great, lots of autumnal colours for the eyes to feast on.
Back home cup of tea, just eaten the remainder of yesterday's pizza with another cup of tea.
Going to have soup and tinned salmon sandwiches for dinner, hoping to get on with my knitting later, must check what is on the radio and television for tonight, it ia now cold need to be cosy. Bye.

Fed up dog

Awoke quite late this morning as Ruaridh has been quite unsettled since coming south and was up twice in the night! As we are south for a wee while we will have to HELP him cope with this situation, don't ask me how just now, once we arrive at a solution will let you know:) Though Graham and moi were saying earlier today the poor dog for varying reasons has hardly been out of the car the last five days!
Took the wee fellow to the woods, good walk and managed to miss the rain, Graham then left to get a bus pass and go over to help Joe and Bella put up the new shed. Layla went out to have a drink with a couple of friends, she said she enjoyed it.
I stayed home, spoke to mum the 'night noise' has still to be resolved?
Then I made dough for bread, this is just about to go into the oven, also got the dough ready for the pizzas that we are having for dinner tonight.
Ruaridh is resting just now!
Signing off Graham said 'Phoenix Nights' with Peter Kay is on More4 tonight so he is watching that, may join him or then again knit or read the paper. Bye.

Gathering in the produce!

Today went over to vist Layla and Bella as Graham had an arrangment to meet Joe at the studio this afternoon. Graham came over with Ruaridh and moi and we had a cup of tea. Graham left for the studio and we went over to the allotment, we had a good walk there and Layla got her tatties up, she also took home some onions, corn on the cob, lettuce, tomatoes and I got a lettuce.
Although sunny it was quite cold at the allotment so we didn't stay long. On the way home Bella was walking two steps back two forward, enjoying her little game, we just walked ahead until suddenly she stopped and was looking at something, next minute there was a fox on the path just behind her, Layla ran and scooped her up, being Bella she was unfazed. We had a lovely afternoon and Ruaridh enjoyed his amble round the allotment.
Went back to their house and played with Bella until Graham came to pick me up, then home.
Courgettes in cream sauce with pasta for dinner lovely.
Just returned from taking the wee fellow to the park, we were walking round when suddenley he shot off, yes even in the dark he had seen a fox and run after it. Lucky for us he obeyed our calls and stopped the chase before going into the woods phew! thank goodness. Going to bed now. Goodnight.

Family

To me it is always sad that as extended families the only time we appear to meet up en mass is mainly at funerals. Today was one of these occasions, Allison Graham's wee cousin fought the good fight against cancer and Friday last lost the battle. Today was her funeral and Graham and moi travelled through to Glasgow to pay our respects and share the immediate family's sorrow.
Allison was a character and today her relatives and friends showed their love and respect for her by over 200 hundred people being present.
It was a sad time at her committal, then as we went for a meal people sat and chatted and she was remembered for the fun times as well as the sad.
Her husband, sons, and immediate family were amazing in their bereavement making sure all who attended were made to feel comfortable. May Love and Peace be theirs.

Back in the City

Today we left the Glen as for a wee while we will be staying in Edinburgh and going up to the Highlands about once a month hopefully for a week at a time! Had a good journey down, although most of it was in rain sometimes torrential.
Arrived in the city about 1700h and went straight over to visit the family, Bella was on top form though appears to be cutting some more teeth at the moment. Layla made us a lovely meal and it was good to have a chat, waited until the wee one got ready for bed, then left to come home around 2030h.
Sorted all our things out, then took Ruaridh for a walk, which I think he enjoyed. Not much more to say. Goodnight.
