Happy New Year!

Got up for a pee around 0530h the power was on, you guessed, when I stretched my arm out to switch on the bedside light to see the time as Ruaridh was prancing about, nay power. Damn, and all the dishes to wash from the Hogmanay feast. Not to be daunted fed the dog and let him roam, boiled some water on the gas cooker and made the early morning cuppa, put some water for a wash in the pan on the stove, and started the Kelly kettle for water to wash the dishes, Graham then got up and set the generator going so plenty of water to do the dishes.
Had a lovely breakfast in the front room, then off we go to the beach, cold but the sun was shining, a super day! Walked along the pebble beach met people young and old, exchanged New Year greetings with them which was good, Ruaridh played with their dog which was great fun for him.
Back home yes the power was restored! had something to eat then a lazy day, catching up with blipfoto and blog. So much hot water Graham and moi had baths, lovely and relaxing.
Just watched Worzel and Gromit on BBC brilliant. Just about to eat, well when Graham makes it, going to have fried rice and and vegetables for dinner.
Not much on T.V. until later then a programme on BBC4 re 'The House of Un-American Activities' should be good. Bye.
