Skye

Over the bridge to Skye today truly the misty isle. Weather one minute a downpour the next brilliant sunshine breaking through.
Up with Ruaridh then back to bed and crashed out until 0930h awoken by Graham with a cuppa saying it was 1030h checked --joke haha! Got up had a shower and washed my hair, made breakfast boiled egg sandwiches and toast with two cups of coffee, then into the car we go!
Called at the vets for Ruaridh's worm tablets then into the Co-op for a few messages then set off for Elgol where the clouds were the darkest, decided to keep going and just past Torrin saw the summit of Bheinn Bla before it became shrouded in a mist. Graham decided to take some photographs so we donned wellies and wet weather gear and set off.
There was path--a climb and an hour later we stood at the bottom of these amazing rocks formed many, many years ago, they hold their own magic and mystery with the mist swirling on the summit. Water tumbling off them to form the river that we walked up besides, we passed three amazing waterfalls the roar of the water could be heard from afar, and at the second one the water crashed through a gorge twisting and swirling along. A truly lovely afternoon, needless to say Ruaridh was in his element prancing amongst the heather and eyeing the sheep on the distant hill!
Set off for home very hungry stopped at the garage for crisps, we had water.
Home ate the leftover minestrone soup and a cheese sandwich with a cuppa.
Did some knitting and caught up on my Blog.
Tomatoes, garlic and basil in oil with pasta, homemade bread and salad lovely.
Listened to todays afternoon play on iPlayer 'What the Nun Discovered' excellent.
Tired to bed. Goodnight.
