Sun and fun at the allotment.

Wednesday awoke to the sun beaming down and it was warm! Made sandwiches, coffee and juice for the wee one and as our car is in the garage Layla came to pick me up and we headed for the allotment. Spent a good hour or so trying to clear thr space for Bella to have her patch--still awaiting the 'allotment man' to come and remove the remains of the old shed !!
Layla then went to get Bella and I carried on working, Ruaridh had a great time roaming the allotments on the look 'for you know what' as Bella says --CATS!
They arrived back and we sat in the sun and had our lunch, tasted great love eating out of doors. Continued the work, now Bella has her own raised bed wonder what she wil grow ? I cleared the weeds at the side of the path then it was time to go. Graham phoned to say the car was ready so Layla dropped me off at the garage. The guys couldn't find anything wrong with the car ? why sometimes it does not start.
Over to theirs played with Bella then she went over to her chums. Graham came for me and we drove home. Leek and pea risotto for dinner with salad--lovely.
Monday up early as mum had a hospital appointment at 1010h. Everything OK with her ulcer she is to have some 'state of the art' light treatment when I can arrange an appointment. Had my lunch uneventful journey back to the city--oh the lavatories at Preston station have had an upgrade!!
Tuesday busy day catching up after my days with the memsahib. Made bread, also the dinner as the family are here this evening. Had a lovely walk through the woods with the Wonder Dog saw the Heron. Met Miss B and when we got home we had a wedding! Bella in my wedding dress she makes me laugh.
Family dinner then they left.
Thursday Ruaridh and moi down to the shore, sunny and warm lots of shells thrown into the sea many retrieved! left Ruaridh at the studio then over to visit Jane C for lunch. Lovely to see her again, lots of good food, chat and laughs.
Friday listened to Anna Ford on Desert Island Discs on Radio 4 this morning--excellent. Then to the woods with Ruaridh the early morning mist cleared and the sun shone, the wild garlic flowers have appeared, the daffodils are plentiful and swaying in the light breeze.
Also got a surprise to see one or two bluebells pushing up towards the light.
Listened to the afternoon play on Radio 4 'The Britsh Club' excellent.
Through the woods and meadowland this evening saw the Heron at the side of the pond, a coot/moorhen and a couple of mallards swimming lazily on the pond.
Cleaned the stairs and hallway.
Saturday G was away on a mission so set off to take the Wonder Dog a different walk today, he had other ideas and stopped at his usual haunt!
The haar was all around us though the sun was attempting to make an appearence.
Home and listened to the Monday afternoon play I missed and Melvyn Bragg's 'In Our Time' both excellent.
After dinner watched Terence Malick's film 'Tree of Life' excellent film portraying life as it is.
Sunday today G was off on another mission, so the wee fellow and myself went to Corstorphine Hill. Sunny and warm on the hill but we could see the haar hanging over the rooftops from the Firth of Forth round the city to Corstorphine village!
Caught up with 'Inspector Montalbano' this evening love it!
