Mothers Day.

Travelled down to the memsahib's yesterday to spend Mothering Sunday with her. We are going out for dinner this evening. Spent a lovely relaxing day and had a lovely meal at the Pavilion Ashton Gardens, mother enjoyed it and was pleased I had gone down to visit her.
Saturday going down by train to visit mother, it is my six/seven week visit, Mothering Sunday and she has a clinic appointment on Monday. Up had a shower and washed my hair, made breakfast then set off to get my train. Graham and the Wonder Dog accompanied me as far as Stockbridge, I was surprised to see Inhouse shop had closed, now a Sainsbury's minimart!!
Met up with Phil A at the station--an old chum we had a good crack. Uneventful journey, picked up Fish and Chips at my favorite chippy in St Annes enjoyed them for dinner with mum. Watched my favorite 'Inspector Montalbano' on BBC4 excellent.
Monday the sun shone Ruaridh and moi had a lovely walk along the beach, listened to the afternoon play on Radio 4 'Taken' DCI Stone searches for missing teenager...very good!
Tuesday busy day, dog walks, making dog biscuits, making pizza's, starting the gardening. Into town this morning to get rail tickets--what the hell:)
Wednesday had a great walk along the canal with Layla and the dog before picking Miss B up. Then over to Non de Plume for a delicious lunch, met an old friend Tom great to see him again--he looks so good I didn't recognize him at first, must try and keep in touch. Over to the allotment got quite a lot of work done, before meeting Graham and home.
Thursday busy day, down to the beach with the Wonder Dog lots of running after shells thrown into the sea. Thought at one point Ruaridh had joined a dog walkers pack as he set off with them, needles to say the woman was handing out titbits-- that's our Ruaridh follow the food.
On our later walk we saw the heron at the pond again, appears to be very 'precious' about a certain spot!
This evening went to the Lyceum Theatre with my good chum Cristal to watch John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" really enjoyed the show...excellent, acting was good and the sets were realistic.
Friday spent a lovely morning with Miss B making a surprise for mummy for Mothering Sunday we had a laugh.
Also Bella made a lovely card for the memsahib (her Great Granny) who I am going to visit tomorrow for a couple of days.
Then the rain came down, did a shop at Asda then donning wet weather gear the Wonder Dog and I had a walk along the shore, Ruaridh delighted that he found a slice of bread, luckily I managed to grab half. He has been in the dog house since:)
