Leeks

Could have written about various issues on the Blog today. An article in The Guardian discussing the gaping inequality that appears to exist in the United Kingdom between the richest 1% and the bottom half of the population. The continuing problems in Iraq especially 'The Insurgency' highlighted in an hour long programme on BBC 2 this evening, which was very good.
Instead decided to let you know I have planted my first leek seeds! Have wanted to grow leeks for ages but never got round to it, so today have put my seeds into the compost in a tray in the greenhouse and will watch their development. I like leeks both for their taste and looks so watch the Blog for further leek articles.
