C.P.R mandatory update.

To the hospital again today for my mandatory update. This involves two sessions Cadiac-Pulmonary Resucitation and Fire Training, which I have to attend once a year. The C.P.R. was interesting this year, audits show that this actually does not have much success, so research is being done to try and establish why? In Basic Life Support now the most important thing to do once established that an arrest has taken place, and help is called for and acknowledged, is to start chest compressions. The woman who took us for this session was brilliant and made the whole thing so much clearer.
Fire training was good usual stuff, but the two guys try and make it interesting. Big thing on the agenda today was 'The No Smoking Policy' and how this is affecting patients and staff alike!
Layla was over for lunch, later mum and me went a walk in Ravelston woods, seemed strange without wee Ruaridh. Met Rosie and her dog Cooper, earlier in the day had met Dorothy with her two Labradors, all ask for Graham and Ruaridh!
