Cucumber Relish

Awoke to heavy rain this morning, Ruaridh has developed an aversion to the rain, sticks his nose outside and if he feels the rain about turns into the kitchen. We had to go into Kyle to get the messages, the longer we live up here the more we hate having to make these journeys. Ruaridh also does not like the car now! Down to Edinburgh is somewhat different, as we go to see the family and friends, also work and business.
On the way home took Ruaridh to the beach, he was very funny running into the waves, especially when one bowled him over. He also spied a tent and a couple outside it, he set off to suss the situation and was welcomed with open arms by the young woman who shouted to me what a happy dog he was!
Earlier on this week started my second batch of cucumber relish, with the heat outside the first stage of this made the kitchen smell of Greece, delicious. Also going to start my courgette relish hopefully tomorrow.
Layla and Joe got the key to their new house today, may they spend happy times there.
