The Blue Boat

Today we walked along the shore at Glenelg. The weather is still warm, but there was a hint of rain in the air. As we were walking Ruaridh spied some ducks in the ocean, he made a few tentative steps to follow them but the waves were a bit to big and he decided not to bother! We walked up the riverbank and Ruaridh decided to dash into the water and swim to the other side. Graham called to him and this time he turned and swam back to us.
On the other side of the river sits this old Blue Boat, it is a lovely pastel colour of blue probably due to having been weathered. It is turned upside down and has sat there for years. Everytime I see it I wonder who owns or owned it, was it used for pleasure, to take the family and friends out in past times. Or, used as a work boat to take someone out to sea to drop off pots and creels that hopefully would catch lobster, crab and prawns, then to return to pick up the days catch.
