Walking the Dog

Super day today Ruaridh and moi decided on a long walk to the beach at Cramond. We set off along the cycle path meeting cyclists, walkers and one or two canines, mostly all on leads. Met one dog who was free, so let Ruaridh off the lead, think the dog was too old and didn't want to play as after a second or so Ruaridh was attempting to get 'treats' off the dog's owner! It was super walking down to the beach passed lovely green fields, with cows and sheep grazing away.
Arrived at the beach and let the dog off the lead, he happily chased numerous crows who unfortunately always get away. Went down to the sea for a paddle Ruaridh enjoyed rolling in the water, saw a huge jellyfish which Ruaridh enjoyed sniffing at! Put my sandels down to give the dog some water and saw them being swept out to sea! Panic, but thank goodness the sea was shallow and I managed to retrieve them. As we returned to the road met a lovely Polish woman and her small daughter they thought Ruaridh was the 'cats pyjamas.' Sorry no photographs once again forgot my camera! however on searching found an old photograph of Cramond Island. Heading back to the Glen tomorrow after an absence of nearly 3 weeks, Layla is coming back with us for a week so looking forward to that.
