Fireworks

I believe today was the end of the International Festival held every year in 'Old Reekie', it went out with the usual flash and bang of fireworks at the castle. This is normally sponsored by the Bank of Scotland, who yes must have money to burn, and unfortunatly is the bank we use! (For images of fireworks see www.blipfoto.com) The Fringe Festival finished last week, as did numerous others, as mentioned previously the only one I would be interested in is the Film Festival, and living in the
N/W is not conducive to seeing films in Edinburgh!
Earlier in the day took Ruaridh into the woods and then onto the park where we met Barney the Lakeland Terrier, they both had a great play which was good for the dog, he loves to play with other dogs but some owners do not like it!
Layla was over and she is feeling better, we are starting to knit the baby clothes now, have to get my arms flexed as I have not knitted for years, looking forward to starting.
Watched a programme on BBC2 tonight at 2200 hours here in Scotland, Al-Qaida-Time to Talk, an excellent discussion involving various people, on whether the time has come to have open talks with Al-Qaida? well presented.
