An article thrown up in a Google search states that St Valentine is the Patron Saint of Young People, Love and Happy Marriages ( What about the Golden Oldies)?

On the other hand speaking of love - On 14 February 1929 the most spectacular mob hit in gang land history took place, "The St Valentines Day Massacre". Seven guys in 'Bugs' Moran's gang were gunned down in a Chicago warehouse on the orders of Al Capone. LOVE!!
