Sur la Plage

Yesterday whilst walking on the beach we noticed a large rusty, round, metal object had been washed up by the stormy seas and had come to rest on the shoreline. What was this an unexploded bomb from either of the two world wars, or a container full of illegal substances lost from a boat? We approached it with a degree of caution and breathed a sigh of relief to find it was a ships mooring that had broken free during the recent storms. When we returned to the beach today the object had been moved by the stormy seas and high winds of last night about 100metres, and was resting against some rocks. Nature at its best!
