Fruit and Veg

Today I went to investigate how my onions and leeks were coming on, I was pleasantly surprised to see that small shoots of green were pushing through in both areas. The onions were a set and I planted them outside in a raised bed, today I planted the remaining onions from the set. The leeks I planted as seeds in a small tray and they are in the greenhouse, and looking remarkably healthy.
Last week on the way to Kyle for the weekly shop I happened to notice a big sign on the side of a small building " Whole foods, Fresh Fruit and Vegetables." The door appeared to be closed but an "Open" sign was in the window, so on the return I popped in. The shop was packed with all types of fruit and veg, and a delicious assortment of fungi, also a good supply of organic wholefoods, I shall certainly go there again. Also found out the shop is owned by the guy who brings fruit and veg round the glens and villages in the red van!
