Back to the Glen

Today we left Edinburgh in brilliant sunshine. Got delicious sandwiches from Cafe Citron for the journey. This is a cafe that opened up about a year ago, situated on the corner of the road we live on and Queensferry Road. Always feel somewhat sad when I go in the shop as for years this was our local wet fish shop run by Jim. He was a great character, and over the years we got on very well. Unfortunately about three years ago he fell ill, and was diagnosed with asbestosis, apparently he had worked with the deadly stuff as a teenager. He died two years ago, a huge loss to the community.
We had a good drive up and as I stated last night Layla is with us for a week, enjoyed our sandwiches at the side of Loch Laggan especially Ruaridh. He was very pleased to be back in his 'big garden' in the Glen, and raced around like crazy, attempting to find the rabbits. Had a surprise visit from Gary B this evening who is visiting his auntie in the Glen for the summer, he is great company and we look forward to more visits.
As I write this tonight do hope that the situation in The Middle East can be resolved, especially by 'The Gang of Eight' meeting in St. Petersburg, one asks who is fueling what?
