Mushroom Time Again.

Today we had to go to Broadford on the Isle of Skye to pick up some wood and more foam for the new window to be fixed in, so we decided to make a day of it. Up quite early super day warm and sunny, breakfast, wash and then off we go.
We decided that as it is this time of the year we would go and search for mushrooms Chanterelles being the order of the day. We drove out of the Glen stopped going up the hill to take Ruaridh for a walk in the woods, there we saw John and Auria with their daughter.
Back in the car and away to find the mushrooms, some success, maybe not as many as last year but they appeared to be much fresher, collected enough for a meal tonight and some for next week. In the midst of all this Ruaridh disappeared, we shouted and whistled and eventually heard him bark quite along way away. At last he returned and had to have a long lead on him 'cause if we lost him there he wouldn't find his way home.
Got into the Jeep and drove to the beach at Lower Breakish a favorite spot of mine, here we walked and paddled in the sea, played with Ruaridh who loved it and had a bite to eat. Quite a lot of people there today!
Got the stuff from Jewsons, then to the Co-op to get our messages, returned home tired but happy after a lovely day.
Graham made dinner a lovely chanterelle mushroom omelette with fried potatoes and peas delicious.
Finishing this on Wednesday morning too tired last p.m. Bye.
