Busy times

Phew back to the blog at last! on Friday travelled down to St Annes by train. met a lovely woman called Juli and as the train was delayed for an hour, this made the journey more interesting. Arrived safely and it was good to see mum and have a chat and dinner together-great sleep.
Up early on Saturday breakfast with mum, Harrison popped in good to see him. After my shower and hairwash, down to the dreaded supermarket to get the messages for the Burn's Supper on Sunday evening with five of mum's chum's. Back home had a light lunch, then down to the square to meet Heiner a friend for years who was coming on a surprise visit from Germany, unfortunately he had got on the wrong train! Eventually met up with him good to see him and he was looking well, mum delighted he had come. Good evening spent chatting and eating.
Sunday had breakfast together then Heiner and moi went a walk along the shore, it was a lovely day sunny and not too cold. Spent the afternoon getting the food prepared for the Burn's Supper which turned out to be a much bigger success than I had envisaged, the women really enjoyed it clean plates and glasses!
Birthday Day dawned, mum was 89years old on Monday 26th January, many telephone calls, cards, presents, visitors and a delicious lunch at Mr Chow's Chinese restaurant, to celebrate. Happy Birthday!
Heiner and moi travelled back to Edinburgh later in the afternoon, good journey. Good to see Graham and Ruaridh again, Graham had prepared a lovely meal, stayed up quite late chatting.
Up with Graham this morning, breakfast with Heiner then a shower and hairwash before taking the Wonder Dog for a walk in the park and Ravelston woods. Great fun playing with Phoebe and Barney he just loves this. Made the dinner for this evening, Heiner went to the city. On his return I set off to pick up Miss B from her little school it was lovely for me to do this. She was very interested in the story they were having read to them, we left and got the bus to the studio and we both enjoyed the journey, Bella interested in ao many things on the bus. She was happy to speak to her mummy on the phone and to see her daddy and grandpa.
Home on the bus with Graham. Pasta al forno and salad for dinner lovely.
Watched a drama re Ludwig of Bavaria hmmm! Bye.
