Kyle of Lochalsh

Today we travelled to Kyle of Lochalsh to "get our messages" i.e. to visit the shops to stock up on food and other necessities. We try to do this journey only once a week as it takes an hour and half round trip, and encroaches into our time and space. When the five day weather forcast for Kyle shows a day when it is going to rain heavily, is the day we try to go.I know living in the north west highlands this could be a joke, no this week the weather has been good. When we were in Kyle last week we noticed down on the harbour side, stacks and stacks of local timber waiting to be loaded onto a ship, it looked amazing and it's the first time we have seen it. Also our new Hunter wellies arrived today, must say they kept my feet lovely and warm!
A note was delivered to Ruaridh and family today from postie Lexi inviting us to her house for lunch on Monday 1st May, maybe a walk in her woods weather permitting. I phoned to accept, will Ruaridh email when he wakens up? His link :-www.moyleglenelg.co.uk
