Canadians

Graham had work to do today, so we took Ruaridh down to the beach. Had to put him on the lead as a group of people were strolling on the beach. However first the older woman in the party came over and asked if he was a Border, then the older man who was her husband hurried over and started to play with the dog, so we let him off the lead. They were Canadians from Ottawa and were staying in a cottage at Ratagan. Delightful people who adored Ruaridh, he always gathers a fan club where ever he goes, he is so cool. They were thinking about getting a dog and would love to have a Border Terrier.
Worked in the garden today clearing the raised beds, and attempting to tidy the grass-wow that is some chore. Continuing with the knitting growing slowly. Made some confectioner's custard tonight for dessert, still waiting for it to set!
Many programmes tonight dealt with the tragedy of 11 September 2001, most had a discussion on the aftermath of this horror, and the ongoing "war on terror" taking place mainly in Afghanistan, Iraq, the Middle East and Lebanon and world wide, many opinions-no answer.
