Eighty-Eight- Happy Birthday!

Today is my mum's eighty eighth Birthday.The day started at 0900h with a phone call from Layla who sang Happy Birthday and wee Bella tinkled on the ivories:) the day was then full of women calling with gifts and cards for mum, telephone calls and making endless cups of tea and coffee.
Went out to do a bit of shopping in the late afternoon, and just managed to book a table at the new Greek restaurant for 1830h. as it was fully booked. Irene mum's friend came with us and we had a lovely meal, and it was nice to sit and chat.
Back home mum and moi had a blether then she went to bed, after a full, long, happy day. I stayed up and watched the Woody Allen movie Hannah and Her Sisters which I enjoyed. Goodnight.
