Reccy

Today dawned warm and sunny, perfect for our reccy to Loch Hourn for a future canoe trip. Up quite early with a morning cuppa, quick shower and hairwash, breakfast then off we set. We have had a lovely day and Ruaridh enjoyed himself and appears to be much better (at this moment fast asleep beside me on the sofa). It was quite a difficult walk at times but we wanted to go round the corner to see what was there and if it is suitable for the canoe. What an amazing vista we came across, white beaches, mountains and clear blue/turquoise sea albeit cold, no swimming today no towels! We took photographs and enjoyed our picnic lunch, Ruaridh enjoyed paddling in the sea. On the way to the beach we saw a couple of dolphins, they made amazing blowing noises when they surfaced. The sea was stunning colour, smell and the noise of it lapping against the rocks. We also walked through lots of wild mountain thyme and the smell was beautiful.
Quite tired on arriving home, cup of tea and oatcakes revived us. Spoke to mum she appears to be OK. Justine had phoned Cammy, herself and Liz are camping at Gairloch so we may head up there later tomorrow or Saturday.
Vegetable rice and mixed vegetables in sauce for dinner lovely.
Must get on with my knitting. Bye.
