Block of tea

Last night Heiner gave us a gift of Yinhao tea. He had a delegation from China visit the company he works for and they gave him eight packages of this tea.
The tea comes in a block and is 'shaved' off to cover the bottom of the cup, boiling water is then poured on to the tea to cover it. After a few minutes this is poured off then the cup/mug is filled to the top, the rehydrated leaves should settle then you sip/drink it.
I was surprised that it tasted delicious and quite soothing, this portion of tea can be used about five times!
Today we took Heiner to the airport to catch his flight back to Frankfurt. We gave him a veggie 'fry-up' for breakfast to sustain him on his travels. After breakfast I took Ruaridh to the woods, and boy did he have fun, first a rough and tumble with Barney and then he met a new dog Cally, he is now sleeping on the sofa!
We said our fond farewells to Heiner it has been lovely having him here for the week, I think he enjoyed himself, Ruaridh loved having him stay.
A lazy afternoon catching up on blips and blogs and making bread.
Spoke to Layla and she and Bella are fine, also mum who I think is fine?
Leek and tattie soup for dinner followed by tinned salmon sandwiches. Bye.
