Kill the rabbit!

We had just pulled up at the house in the Glen, Graham had let Ruaridh out when, wow he raced passed me chasing a rabbit going hell for leather. Drove the car into the drive unpacked no dog, soon saw him prancing around in the field at the front, called him for his dinner which he ate very quickly, then he disappeared again. Soon I heard him barking I saw his tail wagging at the side of the caravan, when I got there he was half way down a rabbit hole. I pulled him out and took him to the house his face was very sandy and his paws were black! We had a cup of tea, Ruaridh went out and once again we heard him barking this time he was almost fully down the damn rabbit hole. I was frightened he would get stuck so attempted to pull him out, out he came with the live rabbit in his mouth, two shakes and the rabbit was dead, a large one too well done that dog. Needless to say he then required a shower amd hairdry which he hates. Fast asleep on the sofa now and the rabbit will be food for the wild life!
Good journey here in torrential rain, everything somewhat overgrown so lots of work!
Homegrown food for dinner this evening apart from the tatties, corn on the cob, followed by runner beans, tomatoes, potatoes in olive oil with pesto delicious!
Going to do the dishes then hopefully some knitting. Goodnight
